The Canal Diggers 5k Road Race in Worcester, Ma. is tops to me. This year it was on Sept 10th and once again I was not disappointed. Paul and Helen Foley were the 2 main organizers for the race. Why didn’t I get a picture with them both in the same place??? Did I mention they are the organizers….HELLO- That means that they are everywhere and anywhere at ALL times. To get them standing in the same spot at the same time(to them) means something is probably not being attended to.
Along with being in charge of putting together the best Irish barbque for a 1,000 plus people, Helen also sang the Irish National Anthem just before the race began. 
I have had a lot of great running days at this race in past years and have many, many great memories you will read about in the following 10 short entries(which means you may have to click onto the September archives to see them all). Read them and you will understand the fun everyone has,the reason the race has grown and why people keep coming back. Then make sure you put this on your calender as a “MUST DO” next year.Â
