Trying To Give Them Credit Due

Unless you put on one of these “race things” yourself, you have no idea what it takes and how many people it takes.  I DO.  And I love to give them credit whenever I can do so.   Pictured here are just a few of all the volunteers that made the Sept.10th Canal Diggers 5k fun for you and I to show up to and enjoy.  

Registration tables had a lot of smiles to start the day. Standing are Deb, Cheryl, Barb and me. Sitting are Lisa and Kathy( who made her debut on this site last year.

My buddy Joe( White cap) does whatever is needed of him here and at many races I see him at.  Jack was the race/course director and was one of the people that are everywhere making sure the runners have all that they need.  

Mike and Mark you can see all over the course on their bikes guiding and protecting the runners as they make their way through the streets.

And then you have some of the people who are REALLY behind the scenes.  Like the people cooking all the great food that the Canal Diggers Road Race is famous for.
