The New York City firefighters came to Joplin and put up 3,000 stars throughout the city. The names on the stars were the people wo had lost their lives during the attack on the twin towers and the people who lost their lives in the Joplin tornado

 It was an emotional reminder of what we have endured and the strength we have gained from adversity.
