May 5th in South Boston was my first race in almost 2 months. And the Marine Corps Honor Run was a great way to get back to the roads. 1100 other runners also thought it was a great place to spend the morning and help support the people serving our country. This race is part of the fund-raising to give college funds to the children of  fallen Marines.Â
Along with the race the day had a pull up contest, great music, the flattest course in Boston, and a great atmosphere.   Â
Although the morning started a bit foggy and cool, the women at the registration tables seemed to make the day brighter and warmer with their smiles. Aleca, Chelsea, Stephanie, and Kayla not only worked the tables, but, I saw them doing a lot of other work to help make the runners day more enjoyable. This race, the cause, and the people are all what I’ve been missing while life has had me tied up. Check out the next entry and you can see some of the runners that came and enjoyed the day.      Â
