For me, I like to start my fall race season with the Canal Diggers 5k in Worcester, Ma. and I did just that Sept 8th. I have a lot of great memories from past years and always seem to add new ones every year. You will read about some of them in the next 4 short entries from Saturday’s race day.
 I usually arrive a couple of hours early to races, WHY???? It’s just me. And, probably, the reason friends meet me there and don’t want to ride with me. This is what the parking lot looked like last saturday when I arrived. In the end there were over a thousand people who arrived to enjoy the day, so I can safely say I was one of the first.
However, I found encouragement in watching Harpoon setting up their tents while I gathered my thoughts and began looking forward to whatever my story for the day would be. I tell people that every day should have a mission to find your story, whatever it is.
