I thought I had headed to a race I had not run before as I headed out on Memorial Day. And I was still thinking so until I was pulling up to the location. As I approached I realized I had been there about 4 years ago. But, I remembered it as a great day and race.Â
This year was the 12th annual Christopher’s Run and has raised over $130,000 for diabetes.
Although it was predicted to be a sunny, warm day everyone woke up to a rainy grey day. An hour before the start it was still sprinkling. 30 minutes before the start the rain stopped.  And at the gun to start the race the sun came out and rained down sunshine and warmth for the rest of the day.
I needed this race, too, as it had been 2 months since my last race and getting out to meet new friends. So when the rain left and the blue skies took over I knew I was in the right place. And as you can see, it was a glorious day.  Â
So look at my next entry and you will see some of the people that came and enjoyed the wonderful event.
