As many people know, I like to write about the voulnteers that help put on these events. Without them there would be few or non for people to come to. And they get little or no credit for their efforts. So as often as possible I like to give a lttle credit to the quiet heros.
Mickey helps at many of the races and events I help put on in the Northampton area. She had a little extra fun at this event, as she helped me blast people with all the colors before and after they finished their run.   Â
Nick is a freshman at Umass Amherst and has helped us to promote and stage these color runs.  Â
Gabby and Lauren took control of the registration and merchandise tables. However, they weren’t given immunity when it came to getting covered in color.   Â
Tina and Kyle put arrows all over our course and directed the runners and walkers. Chris is a landscaper who let us use some of his equipment to help clean up the area after the runners had made their way back home.  Â
And this mom, Shannon I believe, jumped right in with Mickey and myself blasting the runners as they returned to the finish line. Including her daughter.Â
There are many, many more people that put time and effort into making things like this color run happen. And all are truly appreciated.
There are some entries with pictures of the crowd that turned up at Union Station for the Easter Seals Color Run, So click on to them and see the painted people…..
