There were new and more seasoned runners that came to this great event. They were participating , helping or cheering others on.
Taylor ran the 5k, while Kristen(pink) and Kaitlin ran the 2k as their first race ever. And they have decided to make the move to the 5k next year. Linda was there to cheer them all on.Â
Rosaria and Kerri took care of the Squannacook River Runners Club, which also helped raise funds for the Boston Marathon victims. They also ran in the race. At one point during the race I happened to be running in the same area as Kerri. She was running along side a very young runner and was teaching him how to run the hills and was saying wonderful encouraging words to him.Â
Cedric and I first exchange greetings in the parking lot when I saw a 140.6 sticker on his window. He informed me that It was from the Iron Man race he had done in Hawaii. I later found Cedric helping out at one of the runners food tents.
Deb I met while waiting for the 10k runners to begin coming off the roads and head for the finish line. Camera in hand she was waiting for her son Dan to appear. It was his first shot at the 10 k distance.Â
This truly is not only a race for me to have on my calendar each year, but is one you should make a MUST DO on your calendar. It truly is a day for everyone. You will not be disappointed I promise you that. Myself, I once again left there with great memories, of a great day, with many  great races and an entire day with wonderful people.  Â
