George and Sue were standing beside me at the starting line and I was there to see them finish. It was nice to watch them because they came as a couple, ran together as a couple and finished as a couple. To me this is one of the great benefits of the running world.
Emily and I parked next to each other in the parking lot. Like with a lot of runners there was little conversation before the race, as we all get our thoughts and body ready to run. But, after the race we were all smiles and talked like we were old friends.
The food just kept on coming. There was tons of everything a runner could want to eat after a great race on a warm, but beautiful, night.
The trip to the Jim Kane Sugar Bowl 5k was more than worth the journey. You need to be here next year to enjoy this great race, endless food, wonderful people, and a magnificiant sunset. Mark this race down in your calender and don’t miss the fun next year.
