Jen was the first person I started to talk with after I had secured my first carb reload kit. She is one of those crazy tough mudder , extreme challenge, marathon runner people. Having grown up in Manchester, she travels an hour back home on many occasions to run in her home town races.  A real great lady.
Keith and Paula were enjoying the day, the refreshments and the fact that Keith had taken 2nd place. Even though we live 150 miles apart, and this was the first time we had met, through this great world of running we realized we knew some of the same runners. That’s the fun part of doing the “race thing”. Â
Julie, Dana Matt and I toasted the day, the kiltz and the wonderful tradition of replacing the carbs after a run.
The last people I took pictures with on my way out were (l-r) me, Brad, Dan, Sarah, Trish and Megan. Turns out one of the women is Frank’s (from a previous entry) girlfriend. After I talked with Frank he told her about meeting me. A neat little coincidence.
Well that’s the story of my time enjoying this jewel of a race. I know I’ll be back next year and you should be too. Congrats and thanks to all the people who helped so many people have a special day.Â
There are more entries I know you’d enjoy after this one, so check out the ones from the Canal Diggers Race one week earlier. Â
