That’s right. Saturday March 22nd was the day that made  history in Holyoke. It was the 39th running of this wonderful and challenging race.  I am very proud to be a small part of the group of people totally focused on the growth and success of this event.  IMG_0003

And, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday March 21st the registration tent was…..IMG_0005

EMPTY.  But by 3:00 p.m. (JUST 24 HOURS LATER) 6,864 runners (a new record), a woman runner had set a new woman’s course record  and over 500 walkers  had come, conquered and were celebrating their personal victories and the awesome St. Patty’s holiday. IF YOU WEREN’T THERE YOU BLEW IT AND YOU NEED TO BE WITH US NEXT YEAR.

There are 7 entries after this one to show you some of what went on that great day. You may have to access the “march archives” to get to all of them, but its worth the effort. So read on…..
