I like races that give everyone something to show for their efforts. At the end of the race everyone received one of these medals. I have included the giving of medals in some of the races that I help organize. It serves as a cool little momento that many people hang someplace in their home.  Â
Also at the end of the race the runners and walkers were given a window of time to enjoy free carbo re-loading glasses filled with liquid carbs. And Bill became the most popular person in the crowd, as he did almost all the pouring of those carbs. Â
And then came the free food for the runners and walkers. Rebecca and Wendy helped distribute hot dogs, bananas and cookies so you had something that the beer could wash down. Â
And then, to top it all off, some of the most amazing jazz music I’d ever heard.Â
WHAT AN AMAZING EVENT, RACE AND DAY FOR ALL THAT CAME.
PUT THIS RACE ON YOUR CALENDER FOR NEXT YEAR AND HIGHLIGHT IT SO YOU DON’T MISS IT.
“Thank you” and congrats to all the organizers and volunteers for putting on such a great happening.
